Acupuncture has been used for centuries to promote the body’s natural self-healing process. Using tiny needles to stimulate specific points found throughout your body, acupuncture works by releasing the body’s blocked energy (Qi), allowing the natural flow and rhythm of this energy to return.
Blockages or imbalances in your energy Qi may lead to a decline in your well-being and has been associated with an assortment of illnesses. Many factors can disturb the flow of energy — disease, stress, anxiety, fear, poor nutrition, infections, or injury all contribute to the disturbance of your energy flow. To rebalance this energy, acupuncture needles are placed in very specific sites along these meridians to stimulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and re-establish the body’s naturally smooth and balanced energy flow.
Acupuncture is the practice of stimulating your acupoints with thin, sterile needles on specific sites throughout the body. According to Chinese history, your energy channels (or meridians) follow specific patterns throughout the body, and our well-being depends on a balanced, smooth flow of energy across these meridians.
